Lexus has announced a new partnership with one of the world's most prestigious film festivals, becoming a main sponsor of this year's Venice International Film Festival.

The partnership further illustrates the on-going commitment by Lexus to cinema - as highlighted by the Lexus Short Films program and the recent collaboration with Luc Besson's science fiction blockbuster "Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets".

The heart of the brand's presence in Venice will be the Lexus Lounge set up on the Biennale Terrace, where the two flagship models, the LC coupe and the LS sedan, will be displayed.

An all-hybrid fleet of 40 vehicles will be provided for VIP and guest transfers during the festival, a feature of the Venice Biennale.

The President of the Jury, actor Annette Bening, will arrive at the festival's red carpet in a new LS 500h - the hybrid variant of the upcoming new Lexus flagship sedan.

Director Lexus Italy Luigi Lucą said Lexus is proud to participate in this prestigious event, which is the world's oldest of film festival and captures global attention during eleven days.

"We share many values with the movie world: just like actors and directors, we want to improve and refine our art every day, mixing style, elegance and attention to detail to convey unique emotions and create amazing experiences," he said.

Organised by La Biennale di Venezia, the film festival will be held on the island Lido di Venezia from August 30 to September 9, 2017.
