Luxury carmaker Lexus plans to stage the world premiere of a new concept car at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show later this month.

Full details of the show car will be revealed when it is unveiled during a media event at the biennial show on Wednesday, October 25.

Lexus will also exhibit its soon-to-be-launched all-new LS flagship sedan alongside 10 other production models.

Now in its fifth generation, the LS adopts a daring coupe silhouette while preserving ample interior space and providing a more emotional experience.

As the flagship model and symbol of the Lexus brand, the LS is equipped with advanced technologies and significant advances in innovation.

Featuring a newly developed 3.5-litre, twin-turbo V6 engine and other new technologies, the all-new LS is due to arrive in Australia in April next year.

At the Tokyo show, the LS will be joined by the LC luxury flagship coupe - a car that symbolised the dawn of a new era for Lexus when it was launched earlier this year.

Other new models to feature on the Lexus show stand include the redesigned CT 200h compact hybrid hatchback and the NX luxury SUV, both of which will be launched in Australia later this month.
