LEXUS AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE CHANGE FOR 2010

Lexus Australia will see a change of leadership in 2010, with Lexus Chief Executive, John Roca accepting a role within Toyota Motor Corporation Australia.

Tony Cramb, a long time Toyota Australia Divisional Manager, has been appointed to the role of Lexus Chief Executive, effective January 1.

Mr Cramb comes to Lexus with over 20 years experience within Toyota Motor Corporation, both locally and abroad.

He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, particularly within vehicle sales, dealer network development, sales planning, finance and supply chain management.

Prior to joining Lexus, Mr Cramb was responsible for the sustained growth in sales of Toyota vehicles each year, achieving record sales nationally and attaining market leadership for the first time in every state and territory of Australia.

He began his career in 1987 as a management trainee with York Motors and was responsible for distribution of passenger vehicles throughout NSW and ACT.

In 1992, he became the youngest national manager in Toyota's history.

Mr Cramb also spent two years with Toyota in the United States where he was involved in launching the youth-oriented Scion brand - a brand that signaled a new direction and focus for Toyota in the United States.

During his tenure in the United States, Mr Cramb forged close working relationships with Mark Templin and Andy Pfeiffenberger, both of whom now run Lexus operations in the United States and Europe respectively.

Since his return in 2005, Tony has held the position of Divisional Manager, National Sales for Toyota Motor Corporation Australia.

Mr Cramb said that his appointment to Lexus comes at an exciting time for the marque.

"I join Lexus just as it's about to release one of its most exciting and exclusive vehicles - the LFA, and there is more to come, said Mr Cramb.

"There is no doubt that the past year has been a challenge for all automotive manufacturers, but the Lexus business and dealer network is extremely strong,

"With the vehicles that are confirmed and the concepts that have been shown in the past year, I'm really looking forward to 2010 and getting down to work with my new team at Lexus," said Mr Cramb.

As part of the change, John Roca has accepted a new role within Toyota Australia where he'll become the Divisional Manager of National Sales, Toyota Australia.

"I'm excited about the challenges ahead of me and I leave Lexus with a strong sense of achievement and fond memories, said Mr Roca.

"Since taking on this role in 2001, Lexus sales have grown 254 per cent, taking it to a strong competitive position in the Australian luxury market,

"Almost 20 years since the launch of the brand in Australia, Lexus continues to challenge our rivals and I'm certain with the product that is in the pipeline and the appointment of Tony Cramb, Lexus will continue to challenge well into the future, said Mr Roca.
